Give €50 a month for four years. In year four, a newborn Chaar filly is yours.
The Chaar horse is a rare Kyrgyz breed, once nearly extinct, now recovering through our breeding programme. Adopt a foal and your four years of monthly support fund the breeding programme that brings her into the world, she's born in your fourth year, not your first. What happens after that, whether she stays at Chaar Ranch as part of the herd or you arrange to bring her home, is your call. We'll walk you through both when the time comes.

€50 a month for 48 months (€2,400 total), funding feed, veterinary care, winter hay, predator protection, and herdsman wages.
There's no foal yet in years one through three. Your monthly contribution supports the accelerated breeding programme, launched in 2021, as it works toward growing the herd to 130 horses by 2029, your filly is one of the foals it produces.
A purebred Chaar filly, carrying the rare ChaarSuluu gene that's crucial to the breed's future, is born and becomes yours. What happens next is explained below.
What happens after 4 years?
It's your choice, made together with our team as your four years come to a close.
Your filly is born into the herd in Kyrgyzstan and stays there under our care. You'll get updates on her as she grows, and she's yours to visit, at the ranch or during a future Chaar Expedition.
If you'd rather take delivery yourself, that's possible too, once she's old enough to travel. International transport and paperwork are arranged separately, and our team will talk you through what's involved.
Why it matters
- Keeps the herd healthy through harsh Kyrgyz winters
- Expands the population toward our goal of 130 horses by 2029
- Preserves both biodiversity and cultural heritage
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a one-time or monthly donation?
One-time and monthly gifts fund the herd's day-to-day care. Adopting a foal is a structured four-year commitment tied to one specific filly, born through the breeding programme and yours at the end.
What happens to my filly at the end of the four years?
You choose: she can stay at Chaar Ranch as part of the herd, with updates and an open invitation to visit, or you can arrange to bring her home yourself. See "What happens after 4 years?" above.
Can I visit the ranch before my filly is born?
Yes. Ranch visits and the annual Chaar Expedition are both ways to see the herd in person during your four years of support, before your filly arrives in year four. See ways to visit >
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
French tax residents can claim the same 66% HelloAsso rebate as our other donations. If you're elsewhere, check with your local tax adviser; we'll confirm payment details when we talk.
What if I can't continue for the full four years?
Life happens. Reach out to us directly and we'll work out the best option together, for you and for the horse.
