Become a Monthly Supporter

Your monthly support keeps the herd alive through every season.

The Chaar horse doesn't stop needing care in winter, or between foaling seasons, or when the vet has an emergency call. Monthly supporters make it possible for us to plan ahead, not just react. From €15/month, your contribution is the stable foundation the breeding programme depends on.

What Your Monthly Support Does

Horses grazing on a snow-covered hillside under a clear blue sky.

Winter Food For 80 + Chaar Horses

During the winter as food is scarce, we supplement the diet of the horses with extra grain and foliage. Each year, as the herd grows, so does the budget to secure food for the entire winter. The mares especially need support in order to grow healthy foals for the spring season.

Routine Veterinary Care, Vaccinations and Emergencies for 80 + Horses

Every horse in the herd is regularly vaccinated, dewormed, and monitored throughout the year. Our local vet makes regular visits to ensure the health of the breeding stock, with emergency care available when needed. As the herd grows, so does the cost of keeping every animal in strong health.

Purchase New Equipment for the Farm

We are always fundraising to purchase new machinery such as new trucks for transportation, and grain storage facilities.

Improved equipment is a huge priority for the project as it saves our small team precious time and money on required daily tasks.

Salaries for Local Horsemen, `Vet and Project Leader

Our local Kyrgz team is the heart of the operation and works tirelessly to protect our current horse herds year round. They work alongside the international volunteers to promote the project worldwide, and are hosts when visitors come to the farm in Kyrgyzstan and during the annual Chaar Expedition.

Ongoing Costs For IT, Website & Marketing

We have ongoing operational costs such as online subscriptions, fees and website maintenance. As well as managing volunteers and social media content creation to spread the word about the Chaar association.

Infrastructure Upgrades as the Herd Grows

Our growing herd is in need of new paddocks to accommodate the maturing mares and stallions in the coming seasons. The farm is always being fixed and improved to be more comfortable for the horsemen, volunteers and horses.

The team behind the project

Munarbek has dedicated more than a decade to rebuilding the Chaar horse from near extinction. He manages the herds year-round in Kyrgyzstan — through harsh winters, foaling seasons, and the slow, careful work of genetic preservation. Your monthly support goes directly to him and his team. This is not a large NGO. It is a small, committed group of people doing extraordinary work with limited resources.
