Traveling in Kyrgyzstan is not only about landscapes—it is also about discovering rare living heritage. The Chaar horse, a unique spotted breed preserved by a dedicated association, represents a little-known part of Central Asia’s equestrian culture that few travelers have the chance to encounter.

In May 2023, I became a supporter of the Chaar Accelerated Breeding Program. Before joining in, I didn’t know anything about the Chaar horse, or horse breeding, being quite new to horse riding and the equine world myself.
