Bring the Kyrgyz Chaar Horse to America through the Bering Strait.
A groundbreaking project is underway to bring Chaar horses across the Bering Strait to the USA, highlighting the deep ancestral connection between the Kyrgyz Chaar and the American Appaloosa. Genetic evidence supports the theory that these horses share a common lineage dating back to ancient migrations from Central Asia to North America. By reintroducing the Chaar horse to the Americas, we aim to preserve this unique breed, celebrate its rich cultural heritage tied to nomadic Kyrgyz traditions, and expand understanding of equine history. We welcome collaboration with partners and enthusiasts committed to this important cultural and scientific journey.
According to official history, the Appaloosa horse was introduced to the American continent by Spanish conquistadors. However, we believe that the Appaloosa existed in the Americas long before the arrival of the Spanish. Genetic analysis has shown a connection between the American Appaloosa and the Kyrgyz Chaar horse, indicating a shared ancestry.
The Chaar horse is frequently mentioned in Chinese historical records as well as in the history of the Kyrgyz nomadic peoples, whose migrations extended from Central Asia to the Siberian forests. References to the Chaar horse are also plentiful in Kyrgyz folklore, one of the oldest and most richly preserved oral traditions in the world.
Considering the nomadic lifestyle of the ancient Kyrgyz, we believe it is possible that the ancestors of the Chaar horse crossed into the American continent via the Bering Strait, accompanying early human migrations.
We are currently exploring the potential to realize this ambitious and historically significant project. We are seeking partners, organizations, and like-minded individuals interested in joining us on this journey of discovery, cultural preservation, and scientific exploration.
